Rubber compounding ingredients — Carbon black — Determination of solvent extractable material

Lays down two methods for quantitative determination. Applicable to all types of carbon black. Extraction of test portions with solvent for 16 hours. Elimination of the solvent by evaporation and weighing the of the extract obtained. 2 figures show the test apparatus. - °Constitutes a minor revision of the second edition (ISO 6209:1983).
