Specification for building limes
In four parts: general; hydrated lime (powder); quicklime; lime putty. Requirements for water for testing; certificate of test; independent tests; lime in tropical climates; classification, description; size of sample and method of sampling; composition, physical tests. Appendices include: matter insoluble in hydrochloric acid; soluble salts; soluble silica; fineness of dry hydrated lime and of lime putty; water content of lime putty; expansion of dry hydrated lime; soundness of hydrated lime; flow ta ble and mould, lime putty of standard consistence; density of putty and volume yield of lime; workability; hydraulic strength; isothermal slaking of quicklime; determination of residue on slaking; separation of water from lime putty on standing.
