Specification for format for bibliographic information interchange on magnetic tape
A generalized exchange format, designed specifically for communication between systems, which will hold records describing all forms of material capable of bibliographic description as well as related records such as authority records. Although designed for magnetic tape, the structure may be used for other data carriers.
