This technical specification uses encoding rules from AS/NZS ISO 19118:2012, Geographic information − Encoding and SA/SNZ TS ISO 19139.1:2019, Geographic information − XML schema implementation − Part 1: Encoding rules, and the implementation approach from SA/SNZ ISO TS 19115.3:2023, Geographic information – Metadata − Part 3: XML schema implementation for fundamental concepts to define an XML schema implementation of AS/NZS ISO 19157.1:2023, Geographic information – Data quality, Part 1: General requirements, and the data-quality-related concepts from AS/NZS ISO 19115.2:2019, Geographic information − Metadata − Part 2: Extensions for acquisition and processing. This schema can be used to validate conformance of XML instance documents with these conceptual models.

The technical specification was considered for adoption by the P4815 Identical Adoption of Geographic Information Standards and Technical Specifications Committee. The adoption of this technical specification maintains continuity with the ISO 19100 series and alignment with Australia for trans-Tasman consistency.

This technical specification is identical with and has been reproduced from ISO TS 19157-2:2016, Geographic information – Data quality – Part 2: XML schema implementation.
