Approval and test specification - General requirements for household and similar electrical appliances (=AS 3300-1996)
In the appliance safety series (see Basic information above), this is the Part 1 base document for use with various "particular requirements" specifications (adopted from the IEC Part 2`s), which are mostly dual numbered with individual AS numbers, and with NZS 63xx numbers usually corresponding to the appropriate IEC 60335-2-xx section numbers; also for a few non-joint NZS. (Applicable for use with joint AS/NZS 3302, and for NZSs: 6302, 6303, 6306 Part 2, 6307, 6311, 6315, 6317, 6323, 6324, 6325, 6327, 6328, 6329, 6332, 6335, 6343, and 6353. Note this series is obsolescent, being progressively replaced by standards in the new AS/NZS 3350 series). Based on IEC 60335-1:1976 second edition with Amends 1 to 6.
