Measurement of sound insulation in buildings and of building elements, Laboratory measurements of airborne sound insulation of building elements

Covers elements such as doors, walls, windows and facade elements. The steady state 1/3 octave band filtered white noise level difference is determined in addition to the receiving room equivalent absorption area from which the sound reduction index is derived. The results can be used for design and comparison of building elements.
