Methods of testing refractory materials. Refractory and thermal properties, Determination of permanent change in dimensions on heating of shaped insulating products (method 1902-509)
A test method for measuring the permanent change in dimensions of refractory insulating bricks. Test pieces are measured, heated in the furnace for a specified temperature and time, and remeasured. The percentage permanent change in dimension is then calculated.
