An update on Standards New Zealand work practices
Standards New Zealand has moved to work remotely. Working flexibly is already a key part of how we operate and our team is well equipped to respond to your enquiries and support you while working from home.
Like many of you, we have been adapting our work practices over the past few weeks. Following the Government's announcement on Monday, Standards New Zealand has moved to work remotely. Working flexibly is already a key part of how we operate and our team is well equipped to respond to your enquiries and support you while working from home.
We unfortunately can't answer phone calls currently as our team has been redeployed to essential services. The best way to contact us is by email at enquiries@standards.govt.nz. We will respond as quickly as we can.
Buying standards and accessing subscriptions
Customers can continue to make PDF purchases online as normal but, where payment is made via internet banking, it may take additional time to process. We are also unable to take credit card payments over the phone until we return to our offices.
Our ability to raise invoices for the purchase of some products and services will also be impacted. To minimise this impact, we will endeavour to provide services in a timely manner even though the invoice may be delayed. Customers who have IP address-based logins can ask their account administrator for read-only login credentials to access their standards library from home. For more information about this option, visit our Online Library Support page (external link)to access our read-only user guide.
Our print suppliers are not an essential service, therefore cannot operate during the lockdown. As a result, we won’t be able to fulfil any hard copy orders. You could consider ordering a PDF copy of the standard instead.
All Online Library customers can continue to access their standards subscription online without any disruptions.
Standards development committees
In line with the Government announcement, all committee meetings, if they go ahead, will be conducted remotely until further notice, by phone or video call.
