Approval and test specification - Particular requirements for skin or hair care appliances (=AS 3304:1991)
(±IEC 335-2-23:1986) In the appliance safety series, this Standard is to be read as a supplement to the General requirements (AS 3300/NZS 6300:1992, ±IEC 335-1 second edition, see Basic information above). It modifies the corresponding clauses to apply to appliances for care of skin or hair of persons or animals, and incorporating heating elements, such as hand dryers, hairdryers, curling combs, facial saunas, and others. Particular features specified include cord guard flexing tests, and markings. Does not apply to shavers and hair clippers (see NZS/AS 3125), nor to appliances for medical purposes.
