Methods of fatigue testing, Guide to the application of statistics
Application of statistical methods to test procedure planning analysis of experimental data obtained from fatigue tests, e.g. in accordance with BS 3518:Parts 2, 3 and 4. Covers determination of: S/N curves for different probabilities, stress at N cycles, fatigue limit, life at fixed levels; guidance on appropriate analytical methods, worked examples for all methods of analysis and tests. Assumes some knowledge of statistical techniques but includes reference to standard works on statistical theory.
