This Standard is the formal adopting document of IEC 61558-2-9 Ed 2 which has been adopted without national variation. The IEC text, which is not included, deals with the safety of transformers, and power supply units incorporating transformers, for class III handlamps for tungsten filament lamps. Covers electrical, thermal, mechanical and chemical aspects, as well as transformers incorporating electronic circuits.
