Child carrier seats for pedal bicycles - Safety requirements

This joint standard was developed in conjunction with Standards Australia (SA) who advised us that the standard was reviewed and resulted in a new Australian (AS) only standard AS 4287:2016. However this edition will remain current within New Zealand. For the most up to date Australian standards, visit www.standards.org.au.

Specifies safety requirements for child carrier seats which may be attached to a bicycle other than a child`s bicycle for the purpose of transporting as a passenger, a child having a body weight of not greater than 22 kg.
