AS/NZS 1172.4:2019
Sanitary plumbing products – Part 4: Washbasins
This Standard provides manufacturers, importers, suppliers and users with requirements for washbasins, including basins with overflows. These requirements include the criteria to prevent basins from overflowing. The standard also contains a wall safety load test for wall basins.
In 2024, the P4783 Building and Construction Australian adoptions standards committee was established to assess the appropriateness of this standard (along with other Australian building standards) for rejoining as a joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
