Swimming pools - Premoulded fibre-reinforced plastics - Design and fabrication

This joint standard was developed in conjunction with Standards Australia (SA) who advised us that the standard was reviewed and resulted in a new Australian (AS) only standard AS 1838:2021. However this edition will remain current within New Zealand. For the most up to date Australian standards, visit www.standards.org.au.

Sets out requirements for premoulded plastic swimming pools exceeding 7500 L in volume and 750 mm in depth, constructed from fibre-reinforced plastics based on thermosetting resin systems. Minimum design soil loads are given for the design of the pool. In-service performance requirements for service degradation are set out and a water resistance test is described using a temperature of 80 degrees C.
