Specification for cord extension sockets
Closely aligned with AS 3120, this specification covers cord extension sockets which are described as devices arranged for attachment to a flexible cord and having contacts whereby a detachable connection may be made with pins of a plug. Covers in particular the flat-pin system used in New Zealand, and constructional requirements and tests for interchangeability and electrical safety. Intended to be read in conjunction with NZS 6200 and NZS 6216. Note : Will be withdrawn in April 1994 and superseded by AS/NZS 3120:1993. Approved electrical safety Standard.
