Approval and test specification - Cord extension sockets
Specifies electrical safety requirements, to be read in conjunction with NZS/AS 3100. Applies to devices for attachment to a flexible cord, having contacts whereby a detachable connection may be made with the pins of a plug. Provides mainly for connection to single phase 2-pin or 3-pin flat-pin plugs to AS/NZS 3112 (10A, 15A or 20A) although other arrangements are not excluded. Does not apply to cord extension sockets enclosed within an appliance.
