ISO metric hexagon precision bolts and screws

Specifies dimensions, material, mechanical properties and marking requirements, and includes recommended methods of test for mechanical properties, for bolts and screws with coarse pitch series threads in diameters M1.6 to M36 and in property classes 4.6, 5.8, 8.8, 9.8, 10.9 and 12.9, and primarily of carbon and alloy (other than stainless) steels, although the dimensional and marking requirements may be applied to non-ferrous and stainless steel fasteners. Appendices cover non-preferred sizes, the basis for the derivation of tolerances, shank and head dimensions over M36, split-pin fasteners, bolt/screw and nut combinations, notes on hexagon sizes, a suggested sampling plan for mechanical property tests, and complete designation of a fastener.
