NZS 8156:2002
Ambulance Service Sector Standard
This standard is the result of a collaborative commitment by representatives of the various ambulance service operators, the Accident Compensation Corporation, and the Ministry of Health, for the purposes of ensuring that the people of New Zealand can have confidence in the ambulance services that comply with this Standard. The resulting standard reflects the objective of providing services that are safe, reliable and efficient in the use of public funds and donated services. They are underpinned by the principle of the duty of care, which guides the behaviour and actions of organizations and individuals in the provision of an emergency ambulance service, in which the public have confidence.
