Approval and test specification - Particular requirements for microwave ovens (=AS 3301-1992)

(±IEC 335-2-25:1988) In the appliance safety series, this Standard is to be read as a supplement to the General requirements (AS 3300/NZS 6300, ±IEC 335-1 second edition, see Basic information above). It modifies the corresponding clauses to apply to household appliances for heating food and beverages using electromagnetic energy between 300 MHz and 30 GHz (microwaves), in one or more of the frequency bands established by international treaty for industrial, scientific and medical (I.S.M.) purposes; these appliances may also incorporate a browning function. Particular features specified include user precautions, warning labels, maintenance instructions, limitations on microwave radiation leakage, and durability of door seals and interlocks. Does not deal with cooking performance. Does not apply to appliances for industrial or medical purposes, but may be used as a guide for appliances used commercially.
