Warning: Withdrawn Standard. This document has been replaced by:

Specification for agricultural electric fencing (safety requirements) - Alternating current mains-operated electric fence energizers

Deals with devices powered from a low-voltage alternating current supply (up to 250 V), which generate repetitive (periodic) extra-high voltage impulses (minimum period 1 s) to electrify fence lines for enclosing livestock. Gives construction test requirements and limits on impulse parameters including length, spacing, peak voltage, coulomb content and energy content. Safety must be preserved even when any two defects occur simultaneously.
