Specification for lightweight protective helmets for pedal cyclists
Specifies the basic performance requirements for several properties of protective helmets for pedal cyclists intended to mitigate the adverse effects of a blow to the head. The performance requirements are specified for impact energy attenuation, resistance to penetration, strength of the retention system and its attachment points, creep of the fastener and adjuster of the retention system and peripheral vision clearance. Marking requirements are also specified.
