Specification for thimbles for natural fibre ropes
(=BS 3226:1960) The nominal size of the standard thimble is the circumference of the rope for which it is intended. Material, form and dimensions are specified for a size range from 0.75 in to 18 in. The standard thimble is galvanized unless otherwise specified. Reprinted incorporating Amend: 1
