Approval and test specification - Particular requirements for electric fans
In the appliance safety series, this Standard (IEC 342) is to be read as a supplement to the General requirements (AS 3300/NZS 6300, ±IEC 335-1 second edition, see Basic information for NZS 6300). It modifies the corresponding clauses to apply to ventilating fans, and fans for desk, table, wall, floor, or ceiling mounting, together with their controls. Particular features specified include a test probe for assessment of mechanical guarding. Does not apply to fans incorporated in other appliances such as air conditioners, heaters, or range hoods, nor to those in ducted ventilating systems. Approved electrical safety Standard
