NZS/AS 3134:1992
Approval and test specification - a.c. supplied electronic ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps
Specifies electrical safety requirements, to be read in conjunction with NZS/AS 3100. Applies to mains-supplied a.c. to a.c. converters, which include stabilizing elements, for use on a.c. supplies up to 1000 V at 50 Hz, for starting and operating one or more tubular fluorescent lamps. Does not deal with performance (AS 3963). Does not apply to ballasts of the reactive type (see NZS 6210), ballasts for cold cathode fluorescent lamps (NZS/AS 3143), nor to ballasts of the resistive type.
