Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Particular requirements for battery chargers

(±IEC 335-2-29:1987) In the appliance safety series, this Standard is to be read as a supplement to the General requirements (AS 3300/NZS 6300, ±IEC 335-1 second edition, see Basic information above). It modifies the corresponding clauses to apply to mains-operated self-contained battery chargers having an output at safety extra-low voltage, suitable for batteries for gardening appliances or engine starting. Does not apply to battery chargers for building-in; nor to charging assemblies for battery-powered appliances having a low input, such as toys or electronic apparatus (see AS/NZS 3108 or AS/NZS 3250). Approved electrical safety Standard.
