Issue 46 – February 2013
To help New Zealand businesses get more employees in the saddle, the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) has launched a new set of free Bike Wise resources. The resources include guides on running in-house cycle events; tips on cycle safety; the health, financial and sustainable benefits of cycling; and helpful suggestions on how to improve workplace cycling facilities and develop a cycle plan to engage staff.
The NZTA's Network User Behaviour Manager Jennie Gianotti says encouraging staff to cycle to work, take lunchtime cycle breaks, or participate in company-wide cycling events can benefit the individual as well as the workplace.
