World Standards Cooperation Fully Networked Car workshop March 2012

Issue 35 – February 2012

The World Standards Cooperation 'Fully Networked Car workshop' (the workshop) will be held from 7 to 8 March 2012 at the Geneva Auto Show. This interactive forum will explore new approaches to establishing international Standards, with particular focus on vehicle safety, communications, the electrification of vehicles, performance measures, and more.

The workshop is a unique opportunity to engage with the motor industry and the three international standards organisations, International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The workshop will bring together key players involved in the development of technologies and standards, and other major industry representatives.

World Standards Cooperation

The World Standards Cooperation (WSC) was established in 2001 by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), to strengthen and advance the voluntary consensus-based international standards systems of IEC, ISO, and ITU.
