    AAL – active assisted living – is a term commonly used to describe the wide range of technology that can help people live safely and independently at home. New Zealand is a Participating (P) member of the IEC Systems Committee for Active Assisted Living. Standards New Zealand is now looking to expand the stakeholder membership of this committee.

  • Still in transition to ISO 9001:2015?

    We are less than a year away from the deadline for those certified to ISO 9001:2008 to make the transition to ISO 9001:2015 (in New Zealand to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016). ISO outlined a transition period of 3 years for those with accredited certification to the 2008 standard to arrange recertification to the newer standard, and this period will end on 15 September 2018.
