Standards New Zealand is seeking feedback on an ISO new work item proposal – Space systems – Satellite-based service for a snowplow support system. The American standards body ANSI has proposed this activity.
The scope of the proposal is the following:
This standard is related to snow removal works, and especially works which use snowploughs in wide range of area where manpower cannot be applied. This standard can be applied to the establishment of a snowplough support system that works safely by utilising highly accurate positioning with augmentation data from satellites.
Standards New Zealand is consulting with stakeholders in this area to determine New Zealand’s response. There is more information on our international engagement page.
