Guidelines for promoting the assimilation of management Standards new ISO work item proposal

Issue 46 – February 2013

Standards New Zealand is seeking feedback on a new International Organization for Standardization (ISO) work item proposal on Guidelines for promoting the assimilation of management Standards. The national member body of ISO in Israel (SII) has proposed this project to ISO.

The proposed Standard provides guidelines for promoting the assimilation of management Standards in organisations at both the national and branch level and specifies ways to do this. The guidelines are not mandatory but are intended to assist in the promotion of the assimilation of management Standards in organisations. The proposed Standard is applicable to all types of organisations as it provides an all-inclusive approach and is inclusive in its essence.

→ Standards New Zealand is consulting with key stakeholders in this area to determine New Zealand's response. To receive a copy of the proposal, for more information, or to submit comments including support for or opposition to the proposal, please email isoadmin@standards.co.nz. Comments received will be used to form a New Zealand position on this proposal. Please provide your comments by 15 March 2013.
