I am delighted to announce that, as a result of comments we received from our annual customer satisfaction and performance survey, we have introduced two improvements to our services.

International standards

Comments we received through the survey also indicated that we need to make it clearer that we sell international standards. We have started work on addressing this. We have placed a prominent advertisement on our website and will be highlighting this information in all of our communications material. We are also in the process of refreshing the homepage of our webshop to include more graphics and less text.

Carpentry Apprentice Challenge 2014

Earlier this year, we arranged for copies of SNZ HB 3604:2011 Timber-framed buildings – Selected extracts from NZS 3604:2011 to be supplied as prizes at the New Carpentry Apprentice Challenge 2014. We were delighted to receive the following message from Buster Coughtrey, Membership Development Manager, Industry Training Association Building:

Can I take this opportunity on behalf of all the apprentices, ITAB staff, and myself, to thank you and all the team at Standards New Zealand for your continued support and fantastic prizes which you have given us again this year. It is much appreciated and all apprentices now have 3604 handbooks which is just great.

Meritorious Service Awards

Plans for our annual Meritorious Service Awards event at Parliament on 26 August are well underway. Thank you to those of you who have let us know you are coming. We look forward to seeing you there.
