Issue 48 – April 2013
From 1 July this year, gasfitters will no longer generate gas certificates through the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board's (PGDB) database. Instead, gas certification will be administered by Energy Safety, which is now a division of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE). This change is due to 2012 Amendments to the Gas (Safety & Measurement) Regulations. These amendments change what is certified and how certificates are created and filed.
