IRHACE 21st annual conference May 2011

The IRHACE 21st annual conference will be held at the Rotorua Convention Centre from 19 – 21 May 2011. The theme is 'Energy efficiency and compliance: Building an energy efficient and highly compliant sector'. IRHACE Canterbury were to host the event this year but due to the earthquake on 22 Februrary 2011 IRHACE have relocated the conference to Rotorua.

Technical presentations on Friday, 20 May 2011 will include the following.

  • Heat recovery systems – achieving energy efficient indoor pool design
  • The HSNO Challenges to the refrigeration industry with the move to hazardous refrigerants
  • Energy saving technologies for industrial refrigeration and process cooling systems: Part A: Ammonia refrigeration systems
  • Managing contracts for cash flow and profit

The conference will feature over thirty trade exhibitors, the Wallie Askew Apprentice Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Work Skills competition, and technical presentations, followed by an informal social event and on Saturday by an IRHACE AGM, forum, and a technical tour concluding that night with a formal dinner and awards evening.
