Coalbed methane new ISO Standards proposed

Standards New Zealand is consulting with stakeholders about a new work item proposal for an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Standard for coalbed methane (CBM). The proposal has been put forward by the Standardization Administration of China (SAC). SAC is proposing a new committee that will develop a series of Standards for CBM.

The proposed programme of work includes Standards in the following areas.

  1. Terminology and definition
  2. Resource evaluation
  3. Exploration, development, and utilisation
  4. Production and development
