Help develop Standards for electrical equipment in hazardous areas

Joint Australian/New Zealand Standards for electrical equipment in hazardous areas and in mines are developed by the EL-014 and EL-023 committees. New Zealand is represented on both committees but is interested in attracting additional members to participate on the 28 subcommittees that are responsible for individual Standards or groups of similar Standards. If you are interested in contributing to the development of any of these Standards please email enquiries@standards.co.nz.

A large percentage of joint Australian/New Zealand Standards are based on IEC Standards. The current projects for the EL-014 and EL-023 committees are listed below.
