New Zealand is hosting the 11th Safety World Conference (Safety 2012) in Wellington from 1 – 5 October 2011. This biennial, international conference covers injury prevention and safety promotion and is co-sponsored by the World Health Organization.
Safety 2012 will bring together the world's leading injury prevention and safety researchers, practitioners, policy makers, and advocates, to debate, discuss, and share information and experience.
Safety 2012's theme is 'Connecting pathways for a vibrant and safer future'. The conference is organised by the Accident Compensation Corporation, Safe Communities Foundation New Zealand, and the University of Otago's Injury Prevention Research Unit.
