Safety of attractions at amusement parks proposed new field of work at ISO

Standards New Zealand is seeking feedback on a new field of technical activity on the safety of attractions at amusement parks. The Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology (GOST R Russia) has proposed this new field of work to the International Organization of Standardization.

It is proposed that this new field of work would address the stages of design, manufacture, and operation of amusement parks, taking into account biomechanical risks of influence of the attractions.

There are currently various Standards for the safety of attractions, but there is no single source where all safety requirements of Standards for attractions are combined and interconnected, particularly including requirements for management of biomechanical risks.
