Knowledge management systems – ISO standardisation proposal

Standards New Zealand is seeking feedback on an ISO proposal for a new work item for knowledge management systems.

The scope of the new standard is to set the requirement for knowledge management systems in organisations. The standard:

  • covers establishing and maintaining knowledge management systems, instilling a culture of knowledge management, sharing in knowledge management solutions, and measuring the knowledge in organisations
  • applies to all types of business, private and public organisations, independent of the field of business and their size, and also to non-profit organisations.

Standards New Zealand is consulting with key stakeholders in this area to determine New Zealand’s response.
