Update on standardisation projects

Issue 46 – February 2013

Standards New Zealand continues to discuss possible standardisation projects with a range of stakeholders. A significant area of discussion continues to be on standardisation projects to assist in implementing the recommendations from the two recent Royal Commissions of Inquiry (Canterbury earthquakes and Pike River).

Recently confirmed projects include renewal of several annual facilitation contracts for New Zealand participation in the International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) committees and the annual gas community group meetings. We have also been engaged by Maritime New Zealand to assist in preparing safety guidelines for adventure activities.

→ A complete list of the projects underway (led by either Standards Australia or Standards New Zealand) is published in our work programme
