Issue 45 – December 2012
Standards New Zealand has recently been recertified as compliant to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 Quality management systems – Requirements, the global benchmark for quality management. Michelle Wessing, Standards New Zealand's General Manager Standards Solutions and Shared Services, commented, 'Telarc SAI Limited has completed their assessment of our quality management system (QMS) against AS/NZS ISO 9001. No non-conformance or areas for possible improvement were noted and our registration continues for another year.
'This means we have demonstrated that we have a quality management system enabling us to consistently meet customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements, and build confidence. Standards New Zealand is committed to continuous improvement and quality principles. Our QMS processes guide our organisation and provide the framework that is used to deliver Standards solutions.'
Telarc's Auditor Richard Saul noted, 'Despite challenging conditions, the organisation continues to make innovative improvements to its business, maintain an effective and efficient quality management system, and meet or exceed stated objectives. The organisation has been able to maintain a consistent level of staff satisfaction; this is based on annual survey results taken over the last 5 years. KPI's for customer satisfaction were attained and exceeded.'
