Project management – Principles and guidelines for the management of projects BS 6079-1:2010 will help organisations to achieve a desired outcome on a project, efficiently and effectively. BS 6079-1 covers the management challenges encountered in different project environments and presents possible approaches to these.

BS 6079-1 gives principles and guidance on:

  • sponsorship
  • management
  • planning
  • undertaking of projects
  • application of project management techniques.

The principles provided in this Standard are as relevant to small organisations and for small projects as they are to major organisations with multimillion dollar projects spanning several years.
