The Ministry of Economic Development (MED) has made available 56 MHz channels for licensing fixed services in the V, U, X and 38 GHz bands, as well as new 28 MHz channels in the V band. MED has also introduced an alternative 28 MHz channel plan in the U band.
This initiative follows public consultation in August to September 2011 to address industry demand for higher capacity digital microwave links to deliver faster backhaul and data speeds.
