Strong interest in Standards New Zealands stand at buildNZ designex Expo

Debbie Chin - buildNZ designex expo

Issue 29 – July 2011

The 2011 buildNZ designex Expo, held in Auckland in June, attracted thousands of visitors from the building and construction sector and we had the opportunity to meet and talk with hundreds of visitors at the Standards New Zealand stand.

The expo is aimed at businesses in the building, construction, architecture, interior design, engineering, and associated trades. Our stand showcased a range of Standards relevant to the sector and included the opportunity for visitors to enter a prize draw to win a set of business Standards or a set of building Standards.

We're delighted to announce the winners of the prize draw are Steve Aperahama and Achin Bedi – both Steve and Achin live in Auckland and both work for building companies. Congratulations – your sets of Standards will be with you shortly.

Visitors to our stand also had the opportunity to pose technical questions about NZS 3604:2011 Timber-framed buildings to members of the NZS 3604:2011 development committee – Chair, Don Bunting and Committee Member Jamie O'Leary kindly assisted our staff on the stand.
