Issue 27 – May 2011
Seminars on the 2011 edition of NZS 3604 Timber-framed buildings and B2 (Durability) Acceptable Solution commenced in March 2011. Led by BRANZ, in partnership with the Department of Building and Housing and Standards New Zealand, the seminar series consists of 34 presentations nationwide until 31 May 2011.
Over 3,500 architects, designers, builders, building officials, and engineers have registered to attend the seminars and the feedback has been excellent. 'Attendees have found the seminar really useful to get their heads around what's changed in NZS 3604,' says Charlotte Mills, BRANZ Education Services Manager. 'The seminars have also provided a good opportunity for attendees to network and to see how the revised NZS 3604 affects the industry in different ways.'
