Approval and test specification – Socket-outlet adaptors

The objective of this standard is to provide the Australian and New Zealand electrical industry with requirements and test methods for socket-outlet adaptors. This standard shall be used in conjunction with the latest edition of AS/NZS 3100 with its amendments. It was established on the basis of AS/NZS 3100:2017, Approval and test specifications—General requirements for electrical equipment. This document includes undated references to AS/NZS 3112:2017 Figure 2.1. If AS/NZS 3112 is revised, users should refer to the AS/NZS 3112 figure titled “Dimensions of plugs”. The purpose of this series is to outline conditions to prove the safety of electrical equipment in Australia and New Zealand. Only safety matters and related conditions are covered.
