Specification for United Kingdom 8-bit data code

Specifies an 8-bit coded character set derived from and compatible with the 7-bit coded character set defined in BS 4730. The characteristics are also in conformance with the code extension techniques described in BS 4730. This set is intended for general information interchange within an 8-bit environment. Gives a basic table, complemented by notes, legend and guidance on exercise of options.
