Specification for electromechanical components for electronic equipment: basic testing procedures and measuring methods. Connectortests (mechanical) and mechanical tests on contacts and terminations, Tests 16g and 16h
Test 16g deals with measurements of contact deformation after crimping and details a standard method of assessing the ability of contact to withstand crimping operations without deformation beyond specified limits. Test 16h for insulation grip effectiveness details a standard method of assessing the ability of an insulation grip to hold the insulation of a cable wire under specified conditions.
