Amendment 2 updates the Foreword, clause 2 ‘Normative references’, clause 3 ‘Terms and definitions’, clause 5 ‘General conditions for the tests’, clause 7 ‘Marking and instructions’, clause 15 ‘Moisture resistance’, clause 20 ‘Stability and mechanical hazards’, clause 21 ‘Mechanical strength’, clause 22 ‘Construction’, clause 23 ‘Internal wiring’, clause 24 ‘Components’, clause 30 ‘Resistance to heat and fire’ and the New Zealand and Australian national variations. Amendment 2 takes effect from 29 June 2020, and includes the text of IEC 60335-2-24 Ed 7 Amendment 2 (2017).
