Sets out the procedures to be followed for the selection of cables to satisfy typical Australian installation conditions where the ambient air temperature is 40 degrees C and ambient soil temperature is 25 degrees C. Criteria given are current-carrying capacity, voltage drop and short-circuit temperature rise.
