We are less than a year away from the deadline for those certified to ISO 9001:2008 to make the transition to ISO 9001:2015 (in New Zealand to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016). ISO outlined a transition period of 3 years for those with accredited certification to the 2008 standard to arrange recertification to the newer standard, and this period will end on 15 September 2018.
The Standards New Zealand office will close for the holiday break on Friday, 22 December 2017 and reopen on Monday, 8 January 2018.
Standards Australia has published a list of Received Project Proposals for Round 15 Project Prioritisation
The draft for TS 3404 Steel corrosion protection is available for public comment . All comments submitted during this period are reviewed by the development committee before the technical specification is balloted on.
The closing date for comments is 16 October 2017.
Standards New Zealand has today released NZS 8510:2017 Testing and decontamination of methamphetamine-contaminated properties, which will provide industry guidance on good practice methods in the testing and clean-up of methamphetamine contamination in houses.
Freedom campers will now be required to have a usable toilet within their motor caravan or caravan to gain certification under Standards New Zealand’s amended self-contained Standard NZS 5465:2001.
